helping you live a creative life

In a ball of yarn is the potential to make a dream that you have come true.
~ Melanie Falick

Yarn is such a wonderful thing to me.

There are so many uses for yarn, so many projects that can be made from just a single ball. It allows you to use your creativity in any way you choose.

The quote above is by Melanie Falick, a knitter, publishing director, and author. I have several of her books, including one for children. Her book Weekend Knitting is one of the first knitting books I purchased almost 10 years ago, and I still use it now. I highly recommend it!

Learning to craft with yarn is a rewarding experience that can stand the test of time.

In this week's newsletter, I've included some great ideas for getting crafty with yarn, along with other ways to explore your creativity this week.

Let's get to it!

5 Things I'm Loving

There are many benefits to teaching children to knit. Here are some that are focused on the educational benefits. An interesting read.

Need more ornaments for your Christmas tree this holiday season? These would be fun to make up with your kids!

Speaking of ornaments, why not decorate the trees in your yard with birdseed ornaments? The birds deserve a gift, too!

And for my friends who celebrate Hanukkah, here's a fun tissue paper craft for the kids.

I'll be putting this on my list of last-minute gift ideas for me. So fun!

Hey there!

I hope you had a great weekend. I sure did! The craft show I participated in was great. I met new people, made some sales, and chatted with other businessmen and women. At the end of the show, I was exhausted, but in a really good way.

The holidays are upon us. Hanukkah is in full swing and Christmas is just 16 days away! Which reminds me - the holiday delivery window is running out, so place your orders now. Don't forget to use your free shipping coupon code above!

I hope you enjoyed the links I included this week. I really feel like there's something for everyone.

Make time to be creative...you'll be so glad you did!

Until next time,
~Lisa
